Parque Nacional Sarigua - Panama
Sarigua is a National Park in Panama, located in Parita, in the Herrera province. The area is very hot and we were extremely tired while walking around the trails. Very commonly people refer to Sarigua as a dessert, however one of the guides at the park explained to us that Sarigua is an "albina", which is an area that has been exposed to a process of salinization. The guide also explained that in recent years, the area has experienced an improvement in reforestation, which has had a positive impact in the ecosystem.
